vonage linksys box ... and will i ever get fax to work?

if i go out to buy a linksys/vonage pap2 box, will i be able to unlock it? my local wally world has one on clearance for a nice price!

my ultimate goal is to get fax to work [even if i gotta do low speed data]
w/ MJ ... and i understand the pap2 can help with that.

i appreciate any help, and quick short answers are welcome as well as detailed ones!
