Since I am using my Magicjack as my primary home phone service, I was wondering if it is possible to purchase a replacment unit at the local store and have this device for a backup in case something happens to my curent Magicjack. I guess the real question is, does the Magicjack come hardcoded with a phone number or can that be changed?
Thanks for your reply!!!

Just be sure that you do the chat BEFORE you connect the new one to your computer.pjt1 wrote:The phone number is selected once the unit is registered/activated. If you would want to keep it as a spare in case your current one fails, just purchase it but don't avtivate/register it. When your current one fails, log onto the MJ chat and have them activate the new one with your old number.

I was thinking it but the though never made it from my brain to the keyboard.murphy wrote:Just be sure that you do the chat BEFORE you connect the new one to your computer.pjt1 wrote:The phone number is selected once the unit is registered/activated.
