Does Magic Jack works in Al-Ain UAE?

Hi Everyone

I am visiting Al-Ain UAE

I would like to use my Magic Jack in UAE to talk to my family in USA

Can someone please let me know whether Magic Jack works in Al-Ain UAE?

It should my sister lives in Dubai and they use vonage to talk to us all the time without any problems.

I heard that there are some Internet Service Providers there that blocks some VOIP (inlcuding magicjack)

Does the ISP have to know you have VOIP before they can block it, or is it an across-the-board technique?

I think they block some sort of address or ports on their end (sort of things) that most VOIP use.
