What about dial up?

Post by trahitt »

OKOK, I know, what is dial up. Actually, I have an employer that requires a nightly transmission via a dedicated 800 line via a land line. I have installed mj and everything is fine, just want to know if I could possible plug my laptop in to transmit and rcv via mj over my dsl connected desktop. tks

Try it and see. Limit your modem hardware port speed to 9600 baud. Likely will not work with on-board winmodem. Best to use external US Robotics Sportster. See them ofton on Ebay for $10 or so. Don't forget the RS-232 cable!!!!!

Good luck
