Hi...
First time here....
I have a PC running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I have Magicjack installed (using a wireless network) - and it's working. When installed, it creates a "J:" removable disk and a "K:" pseudo CD-ROM. MJ works fine for me, however...
Every time I shut down or restart my PC, I get an "ATTENTION" dialog box...
"CD-ROM K: CONTAINS DISK(S)".
I hit "OK", and the system shuts down, but obviously, it's aggravating to have to do this every single time. I talked with MJ support for quite a while last night (who had me shutdown MJ, move to another USB port, restart, etc., etc., and assured me that the next time I shut down or restart the PC, I would not get that dialog box. And of course, I had to terminate the chat before I could shut the PC down.
As you would have expected, as I did, whatever they had me do did NOT resolve that issue. I tried googling and searching everywhere for anyone that mentioned a similar situation, but I must be the only person in the world that has this specific situation. That said, does anyone have any ideas how I can stop this stupid dialog box, short of uninstalling MJ altogther?
Thanks...
Andy
