MagicJack wont run after lockup, but will on other computers

I have fixed the problem, but am still curious why this happened. for my own knowledge and for any others that might have this problem.

I've been using the same magicjack for around 6 months now, 24/7. it has had some small glitches, but they have been worth it for the price

. but earlier today i started up magicjack and it froze on the startup splash. I did the normal ctrl+alt+delete and ended it. since then no matter what i did it wouldnt work. However, when i try it on any other windows computer (tried 3) it works fine.

i tried over a few hours:
restarting the computer 4 times
turned off norton internet security
unplugged/plugged in the magicjack lots of times
tried launching it from \Application Data\mjusbsp\magicJackLoader.exe
I also let it cool down for a while-my room has been hitting around 95 this week, behind the 2 computers has got to be even hotter than that. found out the chips werent fried though when it worked on the other comps.

when i clicked "end process" i think i may have ended the mjsplash instead of the program, but should that have caused this problem?

I ended up fixing it by doing a system restore from a few days ago while in the middle of typing this up, and it works fine now, but I am really curious as to why it took a system restore to solve it. Of course that didnt fix the problem, it just made it like it never happened. did the end process delete one of the \app data\mjusb\

ok its back to not working again. I'm not sure when it stopped as i was out of town yesterday, and didnt notice til a few minutes ago. Does anyone have a clue as to why this is happening? i have also seen a couple other new topics pop up on sat 7/11 about it suddenly not working or the registration not opening. can anyone even confirm that the servers are working or something? (boston in particular).

Even after a system restore to the same date i used the last time that fixed it temporarily. now it stays on the tell your friends...lifetime of savings splash screen. i suppose thats better than not even getting the splash, but whats wrong with it?

Is anyone else having this problem since getting the update? could that have any part in it?

I had a similar problem which I reported here a few days ago - when I finished a phone call the software froze on hang up and I could not close it. Had to reboot the PC. From that point, I could not get MJ to work on that desktop anymore though it worked perfectly fine on my laptop which has the same OS and nearly the exact same software.
