No incoming calls

Post by stav »

Guys,
I did my homework the best I could, searching this forum with the above words but nothing came up that I can use to solve my problem.

Its my second MJ, the first one worked like a charm. The new one works fine for outgoing calls but cannot receive calls at all. The person calling my new MJ gets dead air when they call from a cellphone, or the continuous beep when from a landline.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
PS. MJ online help pretty pathetic on this issue...:((

If it is a new # and a new exchange it is possible the local landlines to not recognize it yet.
Try support again and see if they can help. I know they have others IF in fact your exchang is new. You may have to contact your local landline companies, OR just wait. In time they sort it out. But I would call.

Thx Joe,
I called support yesterday, they said to wait 24 hours from the time of registration which was today at 11am EST. Problem is consistent till now 7:30PM EST.
I have the impression that there should be something to tweak on the audio drivers and such, but not sure, dont want to mess too much with those things.
Any one out there having same problem and found solution?
Thx

For all of you who have the same problem, the solution is to change your phone number. I changed it to a new one, restart MJ, run latest upgrade and it works.
