I'm not quite sure what you mean by it "is clashed with someones cell phone number". How do you know this? Are you sure that it isn't just the voicemail picking up? How can you reproduce the problem, or how do you know it exists?

Make sure that the number isn't being forwarded for some reason. Login to the portal at my.magicjack.com and see if anything is set up for call forwarding.

Upon further review, that part of the portal seems to be down at the moment. MagicJack is having all sorts of problems today, wait a while and see if the problem goes away. If it doesn't, try to login to the portal when it's working and look at call forwarding settings.

Clasing Number

Post by mech_eng79 »

I'm experiencing the exact same issue since the 13th. I can use my mJ fine for outgoing calls, but when I try to call my number (area code 480), it goes to the voicemail of someone with a 508 number. I've contacted their Tech Support and they have escalated my issue numerous times with nothing fixed as of yet. Their tech support is useless in my opinion if it concerns anything more than a simple software issue.

Hello there,

It's been a week since I bought my MJ, I had a 305 number then I asked to have it change to a 310 code, and it was working the first day, but when I enabled the forward call option I stop receiving calls, when I called my MJ from diferents phones, I got an msg saying: "The person at extension XXXXXX is not available, please leave a msg after the tone'.... but when I call my MJ number from my MJ I get the v-mail msg I recorded, .. same I went to support and all they've been saying is that my problem is been scalated.... I can make calls, but not receiving, but strangely when I call my previous area 305 number I can get incoming calls.. I guess I have one number for outgoing and another for Incomings..... Anyone when the same problem?, besides that everything works perfectly!

Just fill out the return request form and tell them what's wrong. They will fix it within a true 24-48 hours. My magicJack is FINALLY working.
