Doesn't matter becuase IF you "updated" using that release it would then do another update to the Aug 1st update!!

For what it is worth I have no beeps with the Aug 1st update AND I was starting to get them back with the 6/19 update..

Same here ... after constant beeping since early 2009, the beeps are now few and far between. On a 30-35 minute conversation, there is at most 1 beep; I can accept that.

Another poster said if you have a GE cordless phone, you won't experience the beeps. I can't verify it, but if a person needed a new phone, that might be an option to consider.

As a side-note, I am still holding out hope the netTALK tk6000 will end up working.

There's a registry key named EnableAutoUpdate in the following registry hive:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\talk4free\USB Softphone\Options\SoftwareUpdate

I don't know if magicJack honors this key, but if it does, changing the value to 0 (zero) may allow you to continue using an older version.

Magicjack has released upgrade for this on 08/06/2009.

They have added option to fix the Beep Issue in your magicjack account under magicjack setting . Customers need to select Beep option if he is facing beeping issue .

But with in 24 hours they upgraded the system and that option has been removed.
Means that it is preselected and Customers do not need to do any change for this. If any of you are still facing this issue , just upgrade your magicjack and try to make a call of 4 to 5 minutes duration . If it does not resolve your issue then go to live chat and ask them to adjust DTMF setting for your magicjack account . :)
This will resolve your issue completely.
