Whooshing sound when using the laptop's built in mic

Does anyone know why my friends hear a whoosing sound when I am using the laptop's built in mic? When I switch over to the actual telephone, the whoosing sound goes away. I checked the audio levels in the MJ settings, and the didn't seem to be out of whack.

Any ideas?
