I have Magicjack setup on a core 2 duo machine with no other applications running with a 15/2 mbit internet connection. I purchased this for a small business I am running.
Everytime someone calls my cordless phone does not show caller id, just their number. I dismissed that issue as irrelevant, and I continued using MJ. Incoming calls will start to cut or skip out on the audio, and outgoing calls suffer the same issue.
I decided to call forward to an alternate number, however when I call forward only the other party can hear what I am saying, I cannot hear them at all.
After this experience, I decided to get rid of MJ but I need to port the number elsewhere, can it be done?
Currently I switched the cordless phone to a really old corded phone and have received slightly better call quality, and call forwarding still has the same issue as above.
Any ideas?
MJ Call Quality Issues

Personally I am using a slower computer than you with slower internet and don't have any quality issues. I am assuming that the computer is connected via a wired connection but even if not several people have reported that it works great on a wireless signal. I would suspect viruses or an actual degraded quality of internet service. I am assuming you have cable based on your speed, you can call them and ask them to test the line quality. Also do a on online virusscan at http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/ and if it comes up with a bunch of infections I would advise you to ditch whatever you have and buy that software.

Try going to the MJ wiki http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/MagicJack there you can find the some good info on getting better call quality.
