Sometimes there are multiple Magic Jack icons in the system tray, usually 2-5. Only one of them is actually running, so when I expand the system tray, one fake icon will disappear at a time. This is quite annoying if I'm trying to get to some other system tray icon.
Here's my hypothesis for why this is happening, and I'm hoping someone can help me figure out a solution:
Since Magic Jack will not allow my computer to hibernate without killing the program first, I have a .bat file set up on my desktop to kill the program and hibernate. It looks like this:
tskill magicJack
%windir%\System32\rundll32.exe powrprof.dll,SetSuspendState
I notice that when I start my computer back up after hibernating, I get multiple MJ icons. If I shut down and power up or if I restart, I don't have the problem with multiple icons.
