why MJ cannot hear any sound from incoming calls?

Post by fuguansun »

I have been using MJ for months now, it worked very good for a while, I had an HP thin client with it and voice quality real good.

However lately, I can make outgoing calls, but everytime pickup incoming calls, I can hear nothing , and the other end said can hear me nothing either.

I live chatted magicjack.com everyday, they asked me basically to reboot , and then it will work for half day, then this will happen again.

Anybody know a good fix for this issue?

RegEdit
(Do not suggest Regedit to VISTA users).

1. Please unplug your magicJack. Now go to “Start” in Windows and click on “Run”. In there write regedit and press enter.

2. Now click on + sign next to HKEY_LOCAL MACHINE.

3. Click on + sign next to SYSTEM

4. Click on + sign next to CurrentControlSet

5. Click on + sign next to Enum
6. Now find the folder called USB. Right click on that and click on “Permissions”. In permissions click on the check mark called “Allow” to the right of “Full Control”. Click OK.

7. Now click on + sign next to USB and then find the two folders called “Vid1307”, right click on one at a time and select delete.
(if "Vid1307" is not available don't worry it will be deleted anyway).

8. Now click on - Sign next to USB.

9. Right click on Folder called USBSTOR and allow permissions.

10. Now click on + sign next to USBSTOR.

11. Find the folders called “CdRom&Ven_YMAX&Prod_magicJack&Rev” and “Disk&Ven_YMAX&Prod_magicJack&Rev”.
(if CS can't delete those folders, right click on it and and click on "Permissions". In permissions click on the check mark called "Allow" to the right of "Full Control").

12. Right click on those one at a time and delete them and exit RegEdit and plug your magicJack back.
