error 400 + NO live chat help

Can someone please help me? I've been getting the error 400/please restart you magic jack and try again on my screen. I've tried almost everything like restarting it, formatting it again, transferred the mj to another computer, changed the DNS setting, etc etc and nothing seems to work. I've been trying to do live chat for tech support for 2 days now but i can't get through.... it's always "not available at the moment" or nothing happens when i click on the icon. How do i resolve this issue? Thanks so much!

Sounds like your system is beset by some unwanted visitors.
Try an online virus/spyware scan like housecall.antivirus.com

Also junk internet explorer and install from www.firefox.com

Thanks so much for replying! Still no live chat for me... it's been 3 days. I have McAfee installed & I just did a scan, which turned up nothing. Should I still get another anti-virus/spyware program?
Isn't the tech chat supposed to be 24/7? Or am I doing this (clicking on the icon from the mj website) at the wrong time?
I'm so frustrated...

Hi again! I already did everything you told me - did the housecall antivirus (which turned up nothing, too - and switched to mozilla. But still the error 400 & still no live chat help. It still says "undergoing maintenance" just like 3 days ago. What to do now? Thanks

Live chat has been dwn for some time knw ..

Try another USB port

Dwn load the "upgrade" again and re-load it

Thanks so much doc.. it's good to know that the live chat is really unavailable - & not just to me. I've tried it on 2 different computers, 3 USB ports, and have upgraded around 5 times already, restarted countless times - still the error 400. I'm at my wits' end, really.

oh no! really? so meaning it's only me who can't access live chat. just now, when i clicked on the link www.tinyurl, there's a window that says "can't access the file,link,etc. you do not have certain permissions to allow this" or something like that.
would you know what i should do about this? Thanks!

thanks thanks! however, everytime i click on that "I'm online! start chat" icon on mj's website, a new blank window opens, and remains like that - blank. nothing happens....

There is no such issue at all. MagicJack provide 24*7*365 Tech Support.
It seems you are doing something wrong.

On that page type something and click on Search then you will get livechat option . Click there and you will get magicjack chat window

Error-400 /401 Chat representative will refresh your connection from their end and your magicjack will work fine then

thanks for replying! i really cannot understand what it is that i'm doing wrong. whenever i click on that live chat (I'm online/Start Chat)icon, a new window pops up, right? This happens but this window just stays blank. Even when I reload it, & the page says Done on the lower left-hand corner, it's still blank.
What is supposed to happen when this window appears?

I had the same issues with IE, so if you're using IE, try Firefox and if you're using NoScript, let it allow the page.

thanks! i've switched from IE to firefox already. i've changed the settings to allow magic jack tech chat through, but still the new window that appears after i click on the live chat icon remains blank.
what am i doing wrong?

Have you disabled your firewall to see if it works then? IF it does then you need to make an adj in your firewall to stop whatever it is blocking.
If that doesn't work then sorry I can't think of anything else other than what has already been discussed here.
