any way of getting rid of the conflict between mj and my dvd burner?

You can go into My Computer and locate the second MJ drive there (the 17.5 MB one) right click on it and select eject. The telephone connected to MJ will still work and your burner should also.

Well you can use USB safe remove or unplug MJ while your burning!

Just change the drive letter for your burner, it worked like a charm for me.
