Radio station playing through MJ

I hear a radio station playing through my MJ. When I pick up my phone's handset and there is no dial other noise (between dialing numbers or a lull in the conversation) I can hear a radio station - faint but clear. I haven't been on long enough to listen for the call sign or website it's streaming from - nor do I want to be. Do you know why this is happening or better yet - how to stop it?

Do you have your MJ connected to your house wiring? Do you have a very long base cord on your phone?

In rare instances these unshielded wires could be acting as an antenna, causing the sounds you are hearing.

Also, try seeing if the MJ music-on-hold is the same "station."

Sounds like you are near a radio transmitter and one of your cables is acting like an antenna. Try shortening your wires, buy new shielded cables.
