I have Magic Jack setup on Line 1 of my SPA-3102 and the MJproxy running on my WRT54G-TM Router. Both the SPA-3102 and the WRT54G-TM are connected to my main router, a D-Link DGL-4100.
I purchase the the MJ unit about a month ago and was able to get my username and password credentials. I'm using one of the newer builds on the WRT54G-TM (DD-WRT v24-sp2 (11/02/09) mega - build 13064M VINT Eko ).
I can make and receive calls fine.
Problem:
The only problem I'm having is that the outgoing calls terminate after about 3 minutes. This does not happen on incoming calls. Is anyone aware of what could be causing this problem and how I should go about fixing it. I have tried various values (60, 180, etc.) for Register Expires: and still having all outgoing calls terminating after 3 minutes!

FYI - I bought the MJ about 2 months ago and do not need a proxy. I also have a 3102 and it works fine with my MJ credentials.fala wrote:I have Magic Jack setup on Line 1 of my SPA-3102 and the MJproxy running on my WRT54G-TM Router. I don't think the registration has anything to do with it since it will often register DURING a call and I've never had it drop a call when it registers again. I called my father last night and talked for 42 mins and my 3102 registers every 30 mins, and it didn't drop the call. The only problem I'm having is that the outgoing calls terminate after about 3 minutes. I don't know what's causing the problem, but I'd guess it has something to do with the proxy?

Thanks for your response! I try using the MJ credentials on the SPA-3102 without using the the proxy server and it fails to register. Is it possible for you to post your SPA-3102 settings? Or what settings did you change from the default SPA-3102 settings?bfksc wrote:FYI - I bought the MJ about 2 months ago and do not need a proxy. You can see most of the settings I'm using here:fala wrote:Thanks for your response! I try using the MJ credentials on the SPA-3102 without using the the proxy server and it fails to register. I only had to change four settings to get it to register:
User ID
Password
Proxy server name
SIP User-Agent name
The SIP user agent name is not fully shown in the link above, but it's this:
MagicJack/1.80.499.2 (SJ Labs)
Good luck.
