What have you tried and what are the results. Lots of help here troubleshooting. If you are just starting out, again tons of info and step-by-step here. Search for ATA and MJproxy.sher323 wrote:hi

The info is in these forums, though I don't think anyone has put together a comprehensive step by step for setting up an ATA. Care to take on the task? You can use the "dummies guide" as a model (It's for a thin client, but it's excellent and gives every step. Search for it).sher323 wrote:hi

For setting up your ATA, start with this discussion: http://www.phoneservicesupport.com/call ... t5978.html particularly the steps on how to get your MJ account info (your SIP credentials) and the tip on running mjmd5.
Generally, you have to:
- understand that you are breaking your terms of service with MagicJack, proceed at your own risk
- Retreive the SIP credentials (your MJ account info) from your MJ
- Set up a computer with mjmd5 (do a search on the term for more info)
When you run into a problem, do a search for it in these forums, the ATA's have been discussed in depth.

As you may have read by now, you need your SIP credentials (userid and password), your proxy name, and user-agent name. You can compare my setup with yours here:sher323 wrote:hi
