I fixed my scratchy bad sound problem updating USB drivers

Post by Majormax69 »

:D

Well after 2 days and trying several phones, I fixed a problem were the sound was very scratchy or couldn't even understand what was being said!

The headset or softphone was fine, Drove me nuts thinking it was a sound card problem, but then I went into control panel - system - USB and updated all my drivers listed and Presto the sound problem is fixed so you may want to try this if you have a scratchy sound problem

So now I suppose I have to call my Mother!!! Yikes!! <jk>

I went to start > settings > control panel > system > hardware > device manager > usb controllers > then i right clicked on the top "usb host controller" and clicked "update". It took a few minutes to find the files on its own but it worked for me. Keep in mind I have an old p.o.s. computer that needed updated anyways...
