I am setting up MJ on a Wyse J400.
It installs and I can see it from my laptop via ultraVCN. I get the soft keypad. I have my phone connected to the MJ. I get a dial tone on the phone. But the phone keypad won't go through to the softpad. I tried to change the selection from headset to telephone, but that selection doesn't appear any longer and the menu selection is greyed out. any ideas?

The stock WYSE image does not include USB audio support. You need to install the USB audio drivers available here:

You need the XP Audio Drivers package, 5th down on the list. Download and unzip the package before you plug in your mJ...when mJ asks for drivers, point it to the I386 folder containing the USBAUDIO file. Alternatively, you can copy the contents of the I386 folder to your I386 folder on the TC and windows should automatically load the drivers without asking for the location.
thanks alpman, but still no good. I downloaded the zip files, and unzipped them in the I386 directory. Then committed them to the TC. Plugged in MJ but it still comes up without the telephone options. During the boot up it never asked me for drivers, so I had no opportunity to point it to the I386 directory. Is there something else I can do.
Alpman, thanks much. There were no ! point devices, so that was a problem. I then used the device manager to manually install MJ and point the driver page to C/windows/i386. It then loaded fine, and I go the 'switch to telephone' option in the menu.
It was a little quirky as for some reason it knocked off line. When I doubled clicked on the MJ icon to reboot, I got the MJ logo and it said to install MJ in a USB port, although it was in a USB port and the blue lite was lit. So I pulled it out of the usb and re-installed and that did it and it seems to be hloding.
Quite frankly, I would have been better off to just buy a TC from you already to go. I spent 6 hours on this and would still be there if you hadn't helped. In this, my friend is in IT at his job and gave me the Wyse J400. I really didn't even want the hassle, but sometimes with friends you compromise. It'll make him feel good to see it on the shelf.
Thanks again.
