Don't throw away that old, broken laptop

Just a tip that I'm sure many of you have thought of and are already doing- but just in case- here's the tip-

Don't throw away the old laptop that's been dropped one to many times or missing keys or just old because you purchased a new one....

I took an old laptop, put it in the closet and hooked up the magicjack w/ cordless phone base (and the caller id fix that included the white phone jack box), the wireless router [the wireless switch on the laptop broke so I use ethernet for internet connection]

Out of sight is out of mind! I have cordless phones around the house {got the multipack w/ seperate bases}. So all the things that are annoying about magicjack like popups and stuff don't bother me a bit as I never see them!

Just word of caution, your closet can't be stuffed with clothes and stuff. HEAT could be a problem...mine was more of a tv/entertainment closet built in.... you don't have to have wires running everywhere. If you have a light fixture overhead they have adapters for plug ins so you can shut your door. No closet- no problem....just take the old laptop and put it somewhere out of the way.

Awesome idea, im doing a similar thing but just with an old PC that was replaced.. I knew i kept it for a reason..

All is in the electrical room and the entire house will soon be hooked with MJ..
