Contacts will not load

I have tried just about all I can think of, googled and read the post here on how to get contacts to load and magicjack support 3 times, with same results. I can get the contacts to load with version 1.80.4992.3499 upgrade, but it states please connect to the internet and double click here, but the softphone vanishes after a few seconds. When using the new upgrade version 1.90.5291.3700, contacts where not loaded, will try auto in 4 mins, then contacts could not be loaded. I also noticed I dont have an add button when right clicking, it is a dull gray and I cant locate Addressbook.xml either. I am using XP Media Center.

There USED to be a downgrade link on the MJ web page. They seemed to have removed it.
Try this and see if it helps. This is a link from the MJ web page for the contact list problem.

I tried that link, it gives same results, it is Version 1.90.5291.3700, thanks for the responce.

Send me a private message and I can email you the downgrade file I got prior to them removing the link. It is what I am using and it works well. It is a bit over 7 meg so it SHOULD be able to email.
It shows as version 1.80.518.0

You are very welcome. I am glad it fixed your problem.
It just bothers me MJ removed it from their web page. it makes me wonder if we are due for another "lucky you" update! If that happens we will not be able to run that downgrade again without it updating right away afterwards. Lets just hope the next update works..

You can get a "downgrade" from http://www.magicjack.com/6/fixes.asp

They list 3 symptoms that can be repaired - no contacts list, "starting, please wait," and softphone crashes.

I gave him that link but it is not the same as the downgrade they used to have posted. He tried it and it didn't work. I emailed him the actual downgrade file they used to have posted and it fixed it.
I wonder why they removed that file..

Actually, if you hit the link you posted I get a file to download.... Its still there!
