How to install programs that don't install to the ramdriive

I have a wyse winterm TC with SP1 installed working with my MJ. Everytime I install a program it installs to the ramdrive and once the computer reboots, the program is no longer there. How do I make programs install to C drive instead of the ramdrive?

EFW is off. Turns out that it's only magicringforever (so far) that installs to the Z drive. I got it working by moving that folder to the C://program files drive and directory.
