Want to use a headset with an attached mic--which one?

I just wrote another post saying that sometimes my corded phone doesn't have a dial tone. I read somewhere that I might have to stop using the phone entirely and use the MJ pad on the computer desktop to make calls.

That requires headset and mic. I have a headset that doesn't have a mic, but I can't hear very well. I can listen to people talking through my monitor with no headset plugged in.

But I still need a mic.

Now, here is the big problem. I have an ear bud with mic at the other end that I use with my camera. However, the bud is HUGE and won't fit into my dainty ear. So I attached that to the regular headset so I would have a mic, but I use the headset earphones.

Is there a really good and inexpensive (of course) headset that fits over your head (no ear buds) with a good mic attached? Someone said ones are available to use with Skype (which I don't have) but then I read that a headset used for Skype might not be the best to use for MJ.

I just want the name of something that will work. I need to be able to hear well and the mic needs to work well.

I want it all, don't I?
