When computer wakes from sleep, phone does not (MJ s/w does)

Is there a solution to the issue of waking the phone after the computer is woken from sleep mode? The MJ software is responsive to calls but the phone won't right and doesn't get a dial tone. I have tried a powered phone and one that powers from the phone line.

Problem:
- MJ works fine
- Then computer sleeps
- MJ/phone unavailable (this is normal)
- Computer wakes
- MJ software works (receives calls) / phone is not available (no dial tone) This is the problem.

Manual Resolution
- Unplug MJ USB, plug back in
- MJ software restarts and phone has dial tone

Everything wakes up but the phone. I tried the 'ForceHCResetOnResume' registry hack but that did not work. I am looking for an automatic solution so we don't have to unplug and plug the device in again to get it to work.

As it has been said on here many times, sleep mode and MJ do NOT work together. Do a search and read more.

The posts that I read were all quite old. I wanted to open the thread again in hopes that someone may have found a workaround (like upgrade to Windows 7). But I take it there is no such workaround other than: configure Power Management to not enter sleep mode.

You may want to try hibernate mode and see how that works for you...
In XP you have to hold the shift key to get sleep to change to hibernate ( after you enable it first in the power settings). I have no idea how it works in 7.
I use it in XP SP3 and it works fine for me.. I have to kill the MJ.exe task first though (I have a shortcut for that) or it will not go into hibernate. After it comes out of hibernate I just start it again( another shortcut for that as well).

As many have said MJ is not fully operable after a forced sleep mode on Win7.

Generally unplugging and replugging the USB solves the problem ..

But I have found that calling yourself once using the soft keypad has repeatedly restored normal MJ operation.

Calling any other number will work for the call, but the handset will NOT have the dial tone restored.

Do not know why it works but works and cuts down on USB wear and tear

You can also go to "Menu" on the softphone, and under "Advanced users" is a restart option that will do the trick too.

Edit: I'm not 100% positive, but even if MJ has stopped working I'm not sure if it's a good idea to unplug the device without first making sure the process has stopped in Task Manager.
