How do I stop MJ from putting an icon on my desktop?

Post by pdsnickles »

I know this is no great problem in the grand scheme of things, but I do find it annoying.

I delete the MagicJack icon on my desktop, then it creates a new one the next time I start my computer.

Is there a way to make MagicJack NOT put a new shortcut icon on my computer desktop every time it connects? (I turn my computer off at night and turn it back on in the morning.)

I agree 100%. It's my desktop. I'll put what I want on it. Any ideas?

A search was all it took to find your answer. Without the splash screen you can then delete the icon without it coming back. UNLESS they do a "Lucky You" update. Then you need to remove CDLOADER again and delete your icon again. I have been doing it this way for well over a yr and it works great.

HA your mouth to God's ears :)

I can't take credit for that fix, I just passed it along. Glad to have helped.
OH and by the way this forum makes up those headings based on how many posts you have. I cringe to what it might say when I hit 1000 posts...
