Need help with this error

I've been trying to have the online chat service help for 4 hrs now, I even let them drive my pc for a while and still nothing. I have a dial tone but the dialog box doesn't show up on my desktop and I can't call out or in. I keep getting the following error......

an update failed to exit a running instance of magicjack. please take a look at it, it may require your attention. please don't worry and just click retry to proceed with updating mj

Did you try downloading the magicjack uninstaller and then reinstall your magicjack?

I removed and reinstalled a few times. The service chat people had me do this a few times. They also had me update my USB drives but nothing seemed to work. I shut the computer down last night before going to bed. I just restarted it this morning and magicJack seems to be working now. I have no clue what happened or what fixed it.......lol

When I used to repair systems from the mid-1970s to the early 1990s, there were a few times those darned things would repair themselves after I'd let them sit overnight. When someone would ask me what I did, I tell them I got out the rubber chicken from my toolkit, swing it around over my head and chant. Sometimes they'd believe me.
