I have had the MJ for a few days and been going around with their support encountering many of the problems with them other posters have mentioned...so now I'm going to bother the pros...and I thank you guys in advance for your input.
1. Running a Vista system. When I download the MJfix it is my impression I should see some check marks indicating various steps have occurred. I am not. I get a "congratulations" message then the softphone loads and appears. Also, I download the Vista patch after the MJfix..is this the prober sequence? I am assuning MJfix restores the unit to factory defaults and the Vista fix is a firmware upgrade for Vista.
2 Audio problems (which is why I am doing step one). I ran the VIOP tests suggested elsewhere on the forum and I am hitting in the 2.4 to 3.1 range which could be the problems..if so, will the broadband booster get me where I want to be?
3. When making a call (and this just started) after two rings on the other end, my MJ drops out to a dialtone.
Hate to hit you with so much in one post..any help will be appreciated.

1. For now, assume that the fix program ran ok and you don't need to run it again.
2. A 'booster' doesn't boost anything. It works by throttling other traffic on your Internet connection, so that the voice packets are unimpeded. If your problem is indeed caused by other (desired) traffic, then a booster will work well. However, if the traffic is unwanted, e.g. a virus or neighbors freeloading off your wireless router, then eliminating the parasite is obviously a better solution. If your testyourvoip score is low, even in the absence of local traffic, you will need to find the cause and fix it. If you have a router, try connecting one PC directly to the cable modem and running the VoIP test again, with no other applications active. If score is still low, try using a different PC. If both are bad, you could have a bad modem or cable drop, or the infrastructure in your neighborhood may be inadequate for the load. Retest during late night or early morning to see which. (You'll need to cycle power to the modem for these tests, and again when you reconnect the router.)
3. Is this problem still happening? If so, does it also occur on toll-free calls? Is any error message displayed on the softphone?
