Magic Jack Voice chops (WI-FI)

I have google'd all over the place and couldn't find anything on the actual system requirements, I'm talking RAM, Processor ect...

Now my PC is only 7 months old here are the specs....

AMD Athlon 64 1.8Ghz Processor
Windows 7 Home Premium
2 Gigs Ram (1.7 available)

Now that should be enough to run it good, yet the person on the other end chops up bad. I noticed it done it when someone is browsing on the internet, so I figured it had to do with magic jack and firefox both trying to use the internet, until I realized that it does it when I opened a folder, which IMO told me that it was either RAM or Processor.. I set the magic jack processor to high priority but that didn't fix the problem. I'm using my sisters (who lives next door) Cable broadband connection with my wireless router and have wireless G usb adapter on my PC, i dont know if using WIFI would be causing it.. But opening a folder is pretty damning evidence that its a RAM issue right?

Welcome to the forum. Your precedents who have made this forum a valuable source for answers to all things MJ have treated this issue in great detail. You will greatly benefit by becoming familiar with the SEARCH tool.

You may want to first establish that you have stable, reliable internet connection by running the test at this location...

I was running MJ on a HP Pavilion PC that I bought like 10 years ago without any issues at all. It had 256 MB of RAM, 10 GB Hard Drive, 500 mhz Processor, and USB 1.1 Ports.

A lot of the posts seem unrelated and the ones that do match my search query have the same response, "Do a search or go to http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/MagicJack ". I saw that url before I even registered here.

Ok, I updated to this http://www.magicjack.com/8/customerCare_windows7.asp that is for Windows 7 only, and it seemed to have solved the majority of my problems.. Chopping is gone, it rings right (instead of the previous one long ring), everything seems to work better, only thing is instead of the chopping, it has a echo type of noise when someone is browsing the internet at the same time the phone is in use.
