Comcast may be blocking my MagicJack ?
I have noticed while upgrading my Wireless router to N that I am having some issues with my wired computer and sound quality of MagicJack. I had DSL for 3 years and no issues. Have had Comcast for 8 months now and have had sporadic issues. The latest I went from G to N router model Netgear WNR1000 and it has crushed my MagicJack. I have run various speed checkers and Voip checkers and they all tell me there is 20MS jitter and Voip will have problems which I do. Also slows my connection and web pages take longer to load? Voice quality seems to fade in and out. People on the other line begin saying can you here me and voice gets choppy. I disabled USB Power options and also installed a dedicated PCI USB HUB.No Small USB CORD installed.Panasonic DECT Phones. Last thing that seems to have helped was a disconnected Wireless Router and hardwired Modem only and problem went away. Has anyone had this problem or can you recommend a Wireless Router that is MJ friendly? Thanks,Rick

Comcast is not blocking, but...
I had the exact same problem. Tried multiple routers, and multiple firmware on these routers.
What I notice was the comcast is giving the modem different IP addresses when connected to the PC and to the Router. What I did that worked for me was clone the PC IP to the Modem. When this is done, comcast gives the same IP when either the PC or Router is connected to the modem AND MAGICJACK WORKS!!!
Hope this helps. MJ support was not able to figure this out. Their solution was to install HotSpot Shield.

Cloning is the only thing that worked for me.
MJ LiveLook was on my machine for 3 days with no luck. They all eventually gave up an recommended installing HHS.
I tried different Routers
I tried forwarding ports
I tried putting the machine in the DMZ
I tried disabling Norton
I tried uninstalling Norton
I tried Linksys with Linksys Firmware
I tried Linksys with DD-WRT Firmware

Connect the MJ machine directly to the cable modem if everything works correctly for you than follow the directions in this thread.

After weeks of problems I got everything to work correctly via my Linksys router.
