Sort the contact list

Is there an easy way to sort the contact list alphabetically?
Is there a way to put it in an arbitrary order that appeals to me?

If not, what is the hard way to perform these tasks?

You'll find the Contact list is sorted alphabetically by the first word in each entry. If you want to sort by last name, you'll need to change each entry from <first name> <last name> to <last name>, <first name>. If you have a lot of contacts, this could take you a while. Try it with a few names and see what happens.

As you enter new contacts, they are not sorted; the last one entered will appear at the top.

However, the next time you start MJ, they will be sorted alphabetically according to the first word in the contact name.

The only arbitrary sort method I know of, would be to put a number prefix before each name, but I haven't tried it.
