I get no audio on the internet when the magicJack is plugged in. I can play and hear music when playing on iTunes, WMP ect. and sound from video played too, but not any audio from over the internet (like watching videos on YouTube and such). When I unplug the magicJack, I get audio fine over the internet. I have tried all USB ports on my computer - I'm still not sure if this is a hardware problem or not.
If anyone has had the same problem, I would like to know how you fixed it if you did.
Any help at all would be appreciated.
I hate having to unplug the magicJack every time I want to watch a video/listen to music over the intertubez.
Thanks.
No Internet Audio

You might try going to your Sound control panel and choosing your default audio source.
Start>Settings>Control Panels>Sounds and Audio Devices
Go to the Audio tab and choose your default device for recording and playback. I'd almost be willing to bet that if you picked up your phone while your MJ was plugged in, you'd hear your internet audio...

It was a bug with Win XP SP2 that upon detection & installation of an USB Telephony/audio device, Windows changes the default Windows sounds to be played through the new USB Telephony/audio device.
You can download MS patch KB935708 (XP) that will not make the new USB Audio device the default sound device:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/ ... 86-ENU.exe
Vista version, KB936004, is here:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... layLang=en
If your PC is set for auto MS update then these patches should be downloaded & installed already.
