Voice Mail Message to email as wav files

Post by TimC »

I can access voice mail messages via a standard telephone i.e. call my number, press star and password etc. I was under the impression that voice mail messages left would be forwarded to my email as a wav file. This doesn't happen. My goal is to use the magic jack for people to leave messages that I can convert to MP3 files for podcasts

Any advice. I disabled my Kaspersky Protection but it didn't help.

Thanks to all

1. go to my.magicjack.com sign in and make sure your email is correct for voicemail. the email being used for voicemail will be identified with '(voicemail)'.
2. check your bulk mail, originally mine went straight to bulk mail. had to add as a contact on the server.

Lately, voicemail notifications has not been working (for me) on MJ. Another bug that might get fixed some day.

VM notifications now working

Post by lenagainster »

Got fifteen messages from MJ this morning, dated an hour or so apart in the wee hours of the morning, which were the email notifications of voicemail messages left during the previous week (test messages). The messages had already been deleted, but I guess MJ was just catching up and trying to get the VM notifications working. Still don't have the little green light next to VM on the MJ page working when there is a voice mail. No stutter tone either. After the last test voicemail message this morning, I go an instant email notification. I guess improvements are slowly happening.
