I was getting a 2-4 second delay with voice conversations, and I got lucky with a tech at magic jack. First they had me hard code their DNS servers, but I don't think that did the trick. Below is the rest of the conversation:
anice: Click Start tab and open your control panel. Go to internet options.

craig: ok

Janice: Under privacy tab, slide the bar down to "allow all cookies".

craig: ok

Janice: Under security tab click on "trusted sites" then click the "sites" button. Type the following address into the text bar.. https://reg.talk4free.com click the "add" button.

craig: done

Janice: Now type in the following address.. https://my.magicjack.com and click "add".

craig: done

Janice: Uncheck the box at bottom left of window that says "require server verification..." Then click "close" then click "apply" close the internet options by clicking "Ok".

craig: done

Janice: Please restart your magicJack by clicking on the “Menu” then “Advance Users” then “Restart”.

craig: done

Janice: Please try making a test call.

craig: ok. hold on

Janice: Sure. no problem.

craig: great thanks
