It would be cool if we can still load up our old MJ device with the cheap 5 year plan which was $69.95 but not possible anymore because it's now $99.75 for both regular MJ and MJ Plus.

Wow, I hadn't realized that the standard MJ 5-year plan went up to the same amount as the MJP 5-year plan but it ...

Re: Buy New MJP, Transfer Your Time, Loose 1 Free Yr of Serv

God! :) HAFT PRICE mJ PLUS
and your still expecting for that PAID FREE YEAR!?

In retrospect...

Loosing one prepaid package year of service is easily offset by the opportunity for a standard MJ owner to transfer their prepaid service plan years over to their new MJP.

I felt fortunate when I was ...

If you transfer your number and time onto the new MJ+, does that de-activate your old MJ or will they both work on your account and same number?

I may be wrong but from my experience of transferring over my phone number and all of my prepaid service time from my old standard MJ to my new MJP ...

It is still unfortunate that you have to loose that one year of service.

I understand that with these annual service prices it is a whimpering complaint loosing that one year but it is a complaint never the less... and it still sucks.

But you know... I feel a lot better now... I can handle it. MJP ...

Buy New MJP, Transfer Your Time, Loose 1 Free Yr of Service

The latest MagicJack Plus will allow you to transfer your old standard MagicJack number as well as ALL of your prepaid service time from your standard MagicJack to your new MagicJack Plus.

However even though you have purchased a new MagicJack Plus that comes with a "free" paid year of service with ...

I've used the standard MagicJack for the past 3 years 9 months with Comcast's ECONO-Cable which is presently $29.95 month.

The new MagicJack Plus also runs nicely with Comcast.

Why not just add your contacts to the phones own directory? This solves 2 things. One, it puts all your contacts again at your fingertips, and two, when you get a call, caller id will not only show the number BUT the name associated with it as well, if your phones supports it. Since MJ only shows ...

Yes, when I plug the MJP into one of my computers USB ports the softphone will start up but while I prefer to use MJP as a stand alone device plugged into my router the softphone will disappear.

I went from the standard MJ to the MJP so that I could take advantage of using it as a stand alone ...

MJP Stand Alone Lost Soft Phone

MJP is running great from a power outlet. I have a Mac and I transferred my standard MJ account over to a new MJ Plus, which is used as a stand alone device plugged into a router.

When you use the MJ Plus not plugged into the computer can I also have my soft phone on my desktop with this ...

Keith, I apologize for my ignorance about routers. I've never used them.

I bought and just installed a Belkin Wireless Router N150 . It was the cheapest I could find at WallyWorld that could deliver up to 150mps.

The home phones are working great through the MagicJack Plus with the computer shut ...

I have Internet cable. Will the TP-LINK 4-Port Cable/DSL Router TL-R402M do the job?
Thanks, Keith.

MJ+ Stand-Alone Ethernet Cord to Modem Setup

I've purchased the MagicJack Plus and registered it as was suggested by plugging it directly into my computer's USB port. It has worked great.

I would now like to use the MJ+ in a stand-alone mode plugged into a wall outlet but I do not know how to hook up the ethernet cord from the modem to the MJ ...

I'm a comcast customer also.

I've been using MJ for over two years without any trouble.

And now the root cause of the problem appears that it might very well be the ISP... probably ticked off at the fact that they are not selling as much comcast digital phone service as they would like.

After two years my MJ won't boot?!

No problems after two years... I used the phone this morning okay. Now a couple of hours later I get the message on the bottom of my softphone "Not connected, No 911 info available".

I have a great internet cable connection... proved when I bring up my browser however the MJ website won't come up ...

You may have several auxiliary lines branching off your main feeder line for cable.

Your choppy line sound could be the result of one or two circumstances…

1) The line amplifier isn’t adequate for the number of secondary cable feeds into your home. You may require a more powerful line / signal ...
