Quintessential pot and kettle phenomena here. .. re awake and judging. I am not moved to combat...but stand by my visceral take of your current frustration-generated essence.
I know how to slipstream a service pack into an os.
Were I you.... I would be pithy and pragmatic and waste o more time in isometric struggles with no upside. given, it appears for reasons unknown....you did a clean install with yr slipstreamed disk......I would think you are early in the setting up yr system to your needs phase.
Accept the facts and start over. Do a new install with your original os disk, install yr MJ., and then download SP3 which, you surely must know comprises all the post XP service packs and hotfixes except for the few which they brought forth the post SP3 IN RECENT WEEKS.
Then, naturally U would visit them and choose which not critical items U want, etc.
With broadband….this takes no time and is a no brainer.....SP3 download. To confused, addlepated unendowed, comatose little Jilly….this is incontrovertible logic & pragmatically viable. Also based on the premise U have the original disk. which, given the classified data I am not privy to....may be A WRONGHEADED ASSUMPTION.
Finally, wut moved you to the clean isntall the slipstreamed one…is as relevant NOW IN ALL THIS.... as it was for me second one. But I get you are promulgater of the tenets of The Patriot Act…tho, by dint of some heroics…we now kinda have Habeus Corpus back!
I am Outta this thread.
Best,
Jill
