Help with MagicJack Error 401
Im using Dell Latitude D600 with WinXP Sp3.
I just installed MagicJack and unfortunately, I always received this error message "Please restart your magicjack and try again [error 401]".
I'll appreciate any help. By the way, I live at Philippines but the address that I registered for the magicjack is a US address.

Did you even attempt to do a search first? I did and found at least 7 or more 401 error posts.

Error 401
If you've tried using MJ on multiple machines and it still doesn't work, it is probably a firewall issue with the new upgrade.
I tried all of that stuff only to find out that somehow my computers date had been reset to 2006. Once I set my computer date and time, MJ worked fine.

401 error fixed
Yesterday I received a 401 error and restarted mj several times to no avail. Then I noticed something strange on the restart, as I have a desktop calender. The calender and the computer date was set to Feb2, 2006? Don't know how that happened. But once I right clicked my date icon in the taskbar, and corrected it, the magic jack worked perfectly again! So make sure you have the correct time and date on your computer, and I hope this helps.

Re: 401 error fixed
I had that problem with the date screwing up on my old XP machine whenever I would have a power outage and my computer went through the restarting cycle. Just started happening one day. Never could figure out why and never was able to get it to stop doing it.rccup7 wrote: The calender and the computer date was set to Feb2, 2006? Don't know how that happened.
