Voice delay (over Rogers Internet)
Hi from newbee. Can someone steer me to solution for voice delays (>0.5 seconds) when using MJ+ over Rogers internet cable in Canada. Thanks.
Voice delays and echoes in general
I'd like to ask a more general question then. As this is the first time that I have tried a MJ+, should I expect delays and echoes?
Here's what I did -- I placed an MJ+ call to my standard land-based home phone and listened in with the other ear. When speaking into the MJ+ phone, I hear a prominent echo on the MJ+ phone. I hear myself on the standard home phone but it is delayed. Then I speak into the standard home phone and I get an echo on it now and I hear myself delayed on the MJ+ phone.
However, when I do the same thing using 2 Rogers Home Phones (i.e. 2 other VOIP lines that are on the same Rogers cable internet network) I get no delays and no echoes using these 2 Rogers VOIP phones.
This is a no-go for me. Is it time to return the MJ+ to Best Buy?
