Sounds like you have some uninvited guests on your computer. Try running combofix followed by malwarebytes to eliminate the crap interfering with your ability to access the internet...
Good Luck

Funny, I got the same error message when I tried reinstalling MJ from scratch a couple of days ago to get rid of that Windows Installer issue. I was definitely online, but clicking on that message opened a blank IE window that stayed at "Connecting....", and never did connect. I don't know what to tell you.

I had the same problem when trying to move MJ to a couple different laptops. Couldn't get it to work, so I put it back on the desktop where it was connected. Works fine there.

If you figure out the problem, let us know.

I would go to the mJ Web site and download the recover tool.

I believe the linky is: http://www.magicjack.com/site/downloads ... _setup.exe

Run that on your mJ. Then try it on your other computers again.

It may help if you're administrator of your computers, but in general, that has not shown to make a difference.

Also, try the instruction on the mJ site under "Cannot start my magicJack"

Finally, try downloading this file: http://upgrades.magicjack.com/upgrade/upgrade.exe

Run that on your device.

As the "magicFix" hasn't been around in a couple of years, it sounds like the software on your magicJack may be very old indeed, and could be causing your problem.

Well, then, you either have internet access problems, a virus on your computer, or some other problem that has nothing to do with magicJack. The links VERY MUCH work, and were tested this evening yet again. I'm sure other users can confirm. Did you follow the advice to use Combofix, and test for other viruses and such? Or, do you live in a place where your government or country blocks access to magicJack servers?

Can you open a command prompt and ping www.magicjack.com and upgrade.magicjack.com.

Your persistence is commendable but your logic is flawed. The only acceptable conclusions that can be derived from your reported results are that, in the proper connectivity environment, your MJ has proven functional and, you have at least 1 computer that has viable internet function.
Duplicate situation 2 on computer 1.
I would draw you a picture but this thread is already cluttered with too many useless graphics.
Please refer to post #5 above. The problem resides on your original computer. Something or someone has compromised your internet connection on that computer. Resolve that issue and your MJ will connect.

Had same message today. Turned out laptop battery low and not enough power in usb port. Plugged laptop into power supply and worked OK.

Obviously this is more about spewing in a forum, rather than attempting to get legitimate help. You've done nothing that people have recommended, and continue to bitch. So, like crackerjack, I'm done with it.
