For those having various problems.... think i found the solution. It seems the Adobe Acrobat html maker plug-in interferes with MJ. Used Gary Utilities (free). Ok, after chatting and the usual tries they did get it fiexed (what a changem usually it is just talk, no action). Ok, once you get past the MJ chat bots...

Make sure you have unchecked the overrride automatic cookie (which i already did).

i think the REAL fix that worked for me was:

i did find a fix, see my other thread (use SEARCH) function.

ADDED AUG 1 2009. The new upgrade that just happened once again messed up the mj. no fix as of yet.

If you use the SEARCH function here and look up NO SERIAL NUMBER PASSED thread you will see the saga.

Long time agio is a house far far away i had Sat Net. HORRIBLE for things like games and VOIP. It is not mj, it is the latency and other issues with sat net.

PS: It has NOTHING to do with cookies or setting in my old machine or whatever. Seems something in the MJ folder needs some type of verification/key code change to then work or same situation with the actual MJ hardware. It is the way the new MJ 'upgrade' must hiccup or ??? during said 'upgrade ...

I FOUND A FIX!!!!!!!

i also tested it, rebooted a few times, reformatted the drive etc to BE SURE my fix works on what was once my always working computer before the MJ 'upgrade' screwed things up.

Ok, here is the deal.

You need ANOTHER computer. i have VISTA on my old/main machine yet used an XP ...

Turned off all cookies... rebooted... still nothing, same error. Still thanks as i did try that before and at this point today i am LITERALLY buying a netbook just to serve the MJ. Crunched the numbers and it still makes sense versus going landline.

As an upate, received new hardware and still having the same problem (no service). Looks like until MJ fixes their Software problem i and many others are SOL.

Still no service after 7+ days after the 'upgrade'. Same problems as above and of course online chat is virtually worthless.

Ok, what i have done.. nothing works so far:

Formatted (MANY times)

Removed all the regedit entries i could (many times)

Deleted the mjusbsp file (many times)

Changed MJ's USB drive letters (twice)

Did the software 'upgrade' (many times)

Have tried the mj fix JAVA app (result all is fine BUT ...

MJ has a problem and am having the same situation. See my thread titled "No serial number passed."

Am hoping to find a work around on my own and have done MANY things for the boring formatting to regedit to deleting the 'hidden' mj file on my C drive to... MAYBE if someone here finds a workaround/solution i could somehow use it or find a way to use the info to 'reverse engineer' something that ...

i AM and always have ben using MJ per the user agreement. Since the 'upgrade' she is Dead Captain (i'm a doctor, not a bricklayer... sorry, old Star Trek joke). And while i am not fully privy to tell all, they ARE working on it yet after 5+ hours of 'tchnical help' i am STILL dead in the water ...

Ummm, as a normal users, using the hardware, following their rules etc am NEARLY at the end of my proverbial rope. The darn thing is not working and i DO know computers (was MS and WinCE certified) and still...

It was working impressively for months... until the 'upgrade'.

Am on hour 4 with tech support (in total), is there some file that has the serial number as that seems to be the crux of the matter. The MJ worked fine for months until this recent upgrade.

I haven't noticed anything new in the update. Just wondering if anyone has noticed any improvements.

Sadly, am now getting the "No serial number passed" problem. Turned off ALL firewalls, etc and still no luck. Maybe they will solve it on their side by the morning. Anyone else having this problem?
