only way around using gv w/o a computer is obi...

I was dawn to MJ + for the very reason of not leaving my computer on. But since the years don't transfer over as soon as my contract expires and will be decision time to go with obi or upgrade to gv running on my old MJ dongle...

if you had a quantum computer you could get it to work! But some say that it won't be available until maybe another 20 years... I say more like 40.. but! I'm told the wait is worth it!

So what else is new?

I kinda find this strange but ... if you can afford all these new iphones and the service for whatever it costs. Why even use magic jack?

I hear that straight talk is 45 bucks a month for unlimited everything and you can get the service to work on iphones.

you cannot exceed 3000 minutes in a month so... that's 3000/60= 50 Hours / 30 days = 1.6 hours per day. How the heck can you NOT exceed that?

I guess I like to talk and could exceed 1.6 hours on the phone a day. Not every day but on the weekends sometimes I'll make up for it and spend 3 ...

Hmmm anyone else have this problem?? I set up GV to ring both my cell and MJ. At least I'll know who calls me ... Sheesh, Funny thing is, sometimes it will ring. I don't get a lot of calls but it's annoying to miss calls.

I was wondering if anyone had google voice setup to forward to NETTALK DUO ...

If they were that smart they should have just typed in Next Quarter. hahaha... It's always the next one.

Just a heads up... I restarted my MJ today and my contacts are all there.... Now how do you back them up in version 2.0??????? Or do you just gotta write them down? I surly do not trust MJ anymore to keep my phone numbers safe.

you noobs need to learn how to use the "SEARCH" button at the top of this forum. There must be 50 fast busy topics... There is already a work around in place and has been fixed. It's a NON issue.

it doesn't cost them any more then having some digital lines in that area code. So, it's not MJ's fault. It's more likely the telephone line has the prefix mixed up or something. It's suppose to work. It's when MJ places a open ticket to who ever is servicing the digital trunks. It takes time for it ...

Well, there is a work around. It's free... It's called Google voice. And you don't need an invite. what you do is get a Google Voice account and tie that back into MJ.

I know it's kinda a pain, but sometimes this fast busy stuff happens to me when I try to call home depot. So, just fire up google ...

Get a google voice number and give that out as your new one. The you can point that to any number you wish.

Before you turn off your cell phones and switch to MJ for your MAIN phone line consider this...

My G/F had to tell me that my phone wasn't working. So I looked on my MJ phone number had changed to a completely ...

Please perform the steps below.

1. Open My Computer and look for magicJack(Vista Only Drive).
2. Right click and hit Explore.
3. Make sure to set it to "Show Hidden Folders"
4. Open magicjack folder.
5. Delete the file named CfgCache.dat

This happened to me also. First it was just the call history... Not sure what day it actually lost it...

So I got kinda worried and backed up my addressbook.xml you gotta uncheck you hidden files to see the file. Anyway...

After downloading some updates from windows 7 I also go the same message ...

So how would one apply?

All the "on line" techs they have. Do they just work for free? I actually asked one of them how to apply. They say check back on the web site from time to time for openings.

The best solution was do not disturb button, but for some reason they took that away, now I just close out the MJ App I mostly game at night when no one should be calling anyway.

Let me look into it. Is it all games or specific games?

It's all games...

Not hard to test this. Just try any game you want... then pick up your phone and turn it on you'll see your game go to the desktop soon after.

Worthless for me. I use to use the DO NOT DISTURB but they took that ...
