There is one number I'm really interested in connecting to for business conferences; 218-339-3600. Give it a try if you want to test your solution. It is a citrix/GoToMeeting conference call number (no human answers.)

I don't see the problem there at all you have a number that you wish to call ...

Not sure what you are asking, has someone blocked a number you own but you still want to call them?

This person is not helping just SELLING / SPAMMING this forum, from my point of view.

I mentioned to the moderator to have a sticky up top ( near the auto renew warning) for people to do a seach FIRST before posting for the most common problems. I get tired of being the bad guy telling people to search. Of course that will require to actually READ the sticky first!!

Re: Dosen't Work When called

When I call some one everything works just fine. If I am called by some one, within a matter of a one or two minutes I can hear them fine but they cannot understand me (chopped up). And before you leap and start suggesting stuff I should do. Explain to me why you think what you are going to suggest ...

Do a ping test of the IP address associated with a particular proxy server and choose the location with the lowest average round trip time!
That would only give you that moment (ping by ping result) not a general trend for that particular IP address and how it might work for you in general.

and for this newbie to servers, just how do we go about choosing a different server for MJ;)

Humm? That's a bit sticky. I use a simple DOS batch file. It's not that it's difficult or complex but rather just not where most PC users are comfortable. In addition, you would need to know a few things ...

Hack past Blocked Numbers

I appreciate that a lot has been said about "Blocked numbers." But a lot of what I've read is kind of dusty in "forum years." So, I'm just asking and perhaps starting a new/fresh thread.

Just, looking for any clever ways folks have come up with.

There is one number I'm really interested in ...

So, is there any rhyme or reason in selecting which server to use if your city has multiple server choices? In other words, how do you know which one to pick or is it only trial and error?[/i]

It is a totally trial and error. There are few enough to just cycle through the list and leave one ...

More Puppy for the pot to ponder

Anoter bit needs to be added. When I receive a call the first minute, and not much more is fine, then it breaks down pretty quick and I have to call back.

Re: I Call Great! They Call Bad!

Glad you're making progress. Is your PC portable? Can you try a different ISP, even running a long ethernet cable to a neighbour's or connecting to someone else's wifi? See if you can eliminate your ISP as the problem.

That would be a good test. I'm not portable and I live in the boonies so ...

I Call Great! They Call Bad!

This is a thread on my previous query for the forum. (and thanks to those who commented.)

At first I thought the issue was “general” but with a little more experience I discovered this:

When I receive a call I can hear them perfectly but they cannot understand me (chopped/clipped words). HOWEVER ...

Proxy Surfing

I assume MJ uses multiple proxy servers. Would it be worth my time to try out different proxy servers as a partial remedy? The idea being that every little bit (pun intended) helps.

This assumes I can change my proxy server and that's another topic I'll search for on the forum.

Half A Conversation

Half A Conversation

I installed an MJ to test and only half the conversation works well. By that I mean I hear what they say very clearly but they get about half of what I say.
This is more pronounced when calling a mobile phone.

I get better results (but still not acceptable,) if I use a plain ...
