ok, i've found out that doing msconfig. and shutting down the program. phone stopped working. dial tone was there, but no placing or receiving. oh well, for 20 bucks a year. i can't complain. i've had almost 24 hours now and so far so good. no complaints what so ever.

yep, your right. do need the software. although it did work on laptop first time i tried it without the software but it not working now. and laptop is too old to detect the device and load it up. i've shut it down on computer and it don't work there. but damn. i don't want that thing in my tray all ...

I DON'T KNOW ABOUT all those instructions. that's tons more work then i did. i went to msconfig. but only had one box to uncheck and it was called magicjack. uncheck. rebooted the puter. and that was it. that's all i ever do when i don't want stuff running in my clock. frees up memory and pc boots ...
