I have a HP 5710. Paid $72 (including shipping) for it on EBay last year. I had to pay another $16 (includes shipping) for 512MB Flash memory after update. MJ has saved me $45 x 12 months =$540.
I use a Netgear Router and Time Warner cable.

Verizon? AT&T? Why are you using junk ISP Providers? It is not MJ that is the problem, it is your choice of ISP providers. Get a real provider that uses CABLE (not DSL) and you will not have any problems with MJ.

Thin clients have a solid state C drive (no spinning hard drive, no fans... no moving parts). Netbooks/Laptops are not made for 24x7x365 usage.

How much RAM do you have? What are your PC specs? I bet you have an older PC and minimum ram. If not, your install of XP needs to be fixed up (or reformatted).

Those that have bad experiences are a result of:

1) Outdated and underpowered PC
2) Not using cable internet (using DSL or dialup (gulp!)
3) Using Wireless

If you fall into one of those 3 categories, dont use MJ.

Alltechstore stopped selling the thin clients. I bought mine from them last year. Worked fine up until the latest MJ update. I had to buy 512MB HD space. Just be aware you need atleast 512MB to run MJ.

It was the HD space. The latest MJ update was too large for 256MB. I bought and installed 512Mb and it works fine now.

Just finished testing that image and still dont work. I get a dial tone on the phone, but it will not dial any #'s. The dialpad dials fine, just not phone. I installed magicJack on my spare desktop and it works fine with the phone.

I have tried every version of the OS from HP's site out there. I tried all the versions back to 2004. I have removed everything possible.

I can free up 90 MB, but once I install MajicJack, it drops down to 5 MB and says low space. I now can get the dialpad up and it does make calls via the dialpad ...

I bought my HP T5710 from ebay with XP already installed and MJ software too. It looked like it was modified so it will fit.

Hmmm. So maybe the new update was too large for the 256MB? Ah man. I hope there is a way I can make it fit without bumping to 512MB.

I did get a 'low disk space' message so ...

I never heard of clear wimax until you mentioned it. Being its a for mobile laptop cell phones, im not suprised it does not work. Sounds like a poor mans dsl connection. Get a more reliable internet provider, preferably cable and that should fix you up.

Fax does not work..its not supported either by MJ. I got it to send 1x out of atleast 100 tries. If it works more than once, you are very lucky.

Same exact problem here. I just posted a thread about it. Technical support said they are 'upgrading' their servers and to wait a few hours.

I cant receive any incoming calls or make outgoing calls (even though I get a dial tone)

Same thing happen to me - using a Thin client. Have not rebooted since January. Then all of sudden, no dial tone.

I was going to do the regedit, but instead opted for the MJ remover +update..Works perfect.

So I guess when MJ releases and update, those with thin clients that never reboot get hosed?
