A week ago I had a chat with the MJ tech support regarding when we will be able to port our numbers. I explained that I was incurring ongoing expense to have my numbers remain "live" and have been told since last August that I would be able to port my numbers "soon". After pressing them I was able ...

One more thing. Does Each Magicjack have a SIP Call-in Number?
I was thinking that each Magicjack might have associated with it a SIP phone number in addition to it's regular PSTN call-in number. Mabe then there would be a way that someone using FreeWorldDialup for example could call the Magicjack using only SIP without having to go through the PSTN system ...

Thanks for all the help everyone. And that makes sense as to why to flash the mini first. My wrts54g v4 does have enough memory to hold the full version so I will of course use that. It sounds like the voip full version is for users that have many phones behind their router; so I'll just go with the ...

I'm getting ready to flash a wrts54g v4 (that's the "s" Linksys speedbooster model) with DD-WRT firmware.
Does anyone know what would be the benefits if any to use the "VOIP" version offered by DD-WRT rather than the Standard full version. I've read that you're supposed to flash the "mini" version ...

Average ATA seems to use 2Amp x 5volt = 10 watts
Yeah that is the power output rating of the power supply for the Linksys SPA2102 for example. But the ATA actually draws less than that. I measured the current going INTO the power supply (I'm talking about the 120vac line current) and measured the ...
