I think that im going to make the switch to Nettalk... But the only downside I can see, is they say you can only get a US phone number. I think that I will also keep my MJ to keep my Canadian number and just forward it to the Nettalk. I guess thats the only good thing about MJ, their call forwarding ...

Just load it up with bogus information.. They don't send you anything.. The only problem that could arise is if you use 911, they will not be coming to your place...

Just an update, I had to make a phone call today, expecting it to only last the standard 5 minutes... Much to my surprise the call went on and on and on, until I ended the call at 33 minutes... Has MJ fixed their problem??

Anyone else that has had this problem should do a couple test runs to see ...

Ive had the exact same problem with both of my MJ's 604-800 and 514-400... Tech support reset my account, went through the network settings crap, they didn't seem to understand that no settings have changed on my end and it just magically stops working at 5minutes. Same thing happened to me. MJ working fine for several months, then all of a sudden the 5minute disconnect... I was plugged into a powered hub. I ran the update from a few posts earlier, and plugged right into the computer USB and successfully talking for over an hour...

I can hear them, they can not hear me

This started after the Lucky You upgrade.

On outgoing calls the other party can not hear me
but I can hear them. Incoming is just fine.

If I use the flash button to put on hold, then come back,
all is well, we can hear each other.

Anyone else having this? is there a fix?

So, if the MJ gets a new password each time the dongle or program is launched, can't someone fix sipdump or one of the programs to not close the application after it dumps the files? maybe this would keep the same password as we see it in the file until its restarted again?

Install it with winSCP as noted above...

Seems others have the same problem of late, but most seem to have it AFTER they got the update, so not sure what is going on. Have you tried contacting support and asking them to reset your account? Worth a shot..

Same thing with me, I am in Vancouver, but cannot call any canadian 800 numbers, but free reign to call any of the US 800 numbers that I could have never called from my landline... Man,. TrendNet has got to be up there in the category of worst... I had one of those routers (cuz it was cheap and hey, so am I) but the troubles out weighed my cheapness and I went out and bought a D-Link...

The best thing I ever did with the TrendNet router was to back over it with a 5 ton car ...

definately sounds like a firewall or router issue here... have you tried turning off your firewall or bypassing the router and plug your computer directly into the cable or dsl modem, just to rule those out???

New setup for you?? probably something to do with your local phone company not recognizing the new exchange... I had that problem with different cell providers not being able to call in, but soon after it was all good.....
