Figured it out - when I clicked
Menu --> Advanced Users --> My magicJack
the browser complained wanting a certificate. Looks like mj changed (updated) the cert.
Installed VeriSign Class 3 Public Primary Certification Authority - G5 with certmgr.
Works.

I tried to solve it with chat. Regrettably, I had to leave before it was solved. I have the problem on an older thin client. When I try it on a regular (updated) PC it seems to work fine.

Check Incoming Voice
I had a similar problem before MJ Engineering did something magical. It turns out the phone rang but there was no incoming voice. Once there was incoming voice, the answering machine picked up.

I see. Did you uninstall with mjRemover and USBScrub? The first one purportedly does a better clean of the registry and the other will clean up the USB related entries - these may be scrogged.

Sounds like a permissions issue. If I were as lucky as you I would do a complete uninstall - uninstall followed by using those MJ uninstall tools (e.g. mjRemover and USBScrub). Once uninstalled you may be able to do a clean install.

On earlier generations MJ installs 2 drives. The "second one" reportedly has a (removable drive) folder called X:\magicJack.

If I understand correctly, you have an MJ (not MJ+). You logged on on your PC as an administrator and plugged it into a USB port, and went through MJ registration. Now you are registered.
Is the softphone is up and running?

MJ Now Running as a Service
I took the guidance of redpepper, created a batch file called mjRestart and scheduled it daily using schtasks, hoping a periodic restart would would help with what appears to be a memory leak.
Not wanting to wait until 0300 to see if it would run properly I executed:
schtasks /run /tn mjRestart ...

Another piece of information. Found another number - I know 2 out of the 3 use AT&Ts Privacy Manager. It's basically a fancy answering machine. Perhaps MJ is not using the right protocols, or the Privacy Manager is using old protocols?

Perhaps the mj install clobbered your settings. Are you able to use IE? With a little luck all you will have to do is delete your temporary internet files.

I've notice that on an mj restart it sometimes takes a few seconds for it to show up. Before I registered 911 it did not show up. Have you tried re-registering your 911?

You can configure your mj+ to use a static IP address from your account page - that is where they keep the magic, I suppose.

What kind of router do you have? Does it support static dhcp? If it does get your mj's mac address and assign a static dhcp address outside your routers dhcp range. For example, if dhcp will grab an address from 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.150, assign something like 192.168.1.50.

Also, disable DHCP on all your WRT54Gs except the one with the WAN connection (your gateway). You shouldn't have more than one box handing out addresses.

If you do only put the NAT/QOS on the WRT54G connected to your WAN/Modem. Recommend you utilize the others as switches (e.g. LAN to LAN) (on the same subnet).

My Rules
This works quite well (Tomato default with MJ Box rule) with a conservatively set outbound limit and inbound set to None (you cannot control inbound; don't forget your ISP is shaping for you). All the torrents fall to the bottom. It's a fair.

I had the Same Problem
I worked with the chat line day after day. After you do everything they suggest they escalate until they call engineering. They refused to provide a solution date. I was lucky - it took about a week.
