I've been using the Obi100 since it became available back in May 2011 and it has worked flawless for me with GV. I still use sipsorcery on the same line to receive Email on all incoming phone calls via SIP. I purchased redpeppers GVJack SW to make use of my old dusty MJ as a backup in case the Obi ...

I use to be on Astraweb for $11 monthly but ever since I found out about Blocknews and their sister frugal usenet service, I've cut this bill in half. Been with them since Dec and only pay $6/mo for 100 day retention. I paid another $14 for a 100G block for those occasional downloads that are over ...

I got my OBi100 a couple of days ago and, I must say, I really like the features and the easy GV setup. I replaced my old Innomedia Sunrocket ATA and can really hear a better quality call with the G711u codec. (That's 16x better quality than MJ's and 2X better than G729a which the Innomedia uses ...

Hi,
I just ordered an OBI100 today which will hopefully replace my Sipsorcery/ATA/Sipgate/GV callback system. I have no complaints except that it is run by one guy in Australia and he could take the service down (or my Innomedia ATA could die) so for $44, this will probably be an easy transition. I ...

If it is possible for this company to set this ATA up, why isn't there a feasible way to set up our own ATA with Google Voice Credentials? I have tried the Sipsorcery route, that is flaky. Create a new shortcut. When it comes up and says type in the location, paste the following w/o quotes:

Hit NEXT.
It will call it killtask.exe, or something like that. I renamed it to " MJ Kill ". You can name it to your preference.

Hi, I received an mj 'lucky you' recently but your service tool never broke. It just behaves slower; that is, I plug in dongle, softphone will eventually say, 'Ready to call'. I close softphone and no dialtone. I run your service (under services.msc) and now it takes up to 1 minute for the dialtone ...

Lucky you leaves me at 1.90.529.1-dated 2/18/2010
Is this because my contact list was always empty, therefore it thinks I don't need the 3/2 fix?
Also, my DTMF tones on the cordless phone stopped working and I had to recheck the setting in my account for it to work again.

Does this just hide the Softphone and keep the popup from occurring when the phone rings? Or is it truly silent - meaning that the PC phone sound is muted as well. I notice that most of these helpful plugins (including the recent MagicJack service creator) don't mute the PC phone sound so that both ...

***Localphone Thanksgiving Special - Free US Calls***
Thanks to our gracious British and in celebration of Thanksgiving, Localphone (www.localphone.com) is allowing free USA outbound dialing until Monday Morning 11/30/09 10AM GMT. Then it goes back to regular 0.9c/min price which is the cheapest I've seen in PAYG SIP service.

Re: Possible to use MAGICJACK on iPhone?
is there ANY solution? A WORKING SOLUTION?
I would think MJMD5 IS the solution. You run the proxy on a local PC and point your Siphon credentials to your PC's IP (192.168.x.x) server address. This at least allows your Iphone to work on your Iphone/Ipod Touch in your home.
As for your local ...
