Have you tried your mJ on another computer without the 3.0 ports? Are we sure there's not just something wrong with your mJ?

mJ doesn't really have a bottleneck on speed, even at 2.0 speeds. Heck, even 1.1 works, IIRC. So while new drivers, etc., may be needed to make it work, the product probably ...

GV with an OBI can do 3 way just like a regular Telco can. You can call both parties and initiate a 3 way , unlike the MJ, like Dave said, they both have to call you... So you have two USB hubs, and neither work? Do they/did they work on the mini?

You might have something wrong with the iMac USB ports, almost sounds like to me...

Do other devices work through your USB on your mini okay? How about devices which require power? Have you tried a powered USB hub? Have you tried the different USB ports on the mini, and get all the same stuff?

While I'm sure some may argue, I don't believe there's anything you need to worry about on your computer. Yes, some traces of mJ may hang out on your computer, but I highly doubt that you'll ever notice, or that they'll ever cause any trouble!

I would go to the mJ Web site and download the recover tool.

Probably there is a corrupt or incomplete install of Office/Outlook 2003.

First, attempt to let the installer complete. If that is not possible, or doesn't solve the problem, then attempt to uninstall Office/Outlook completely. Don't worry. This shouldn't affect your settings, and mail, etc.

But on my laptop Win7 no amount of trickery will get the screen-saver to work. Normally I use a 24" desktop monitor with the laptop so now I turn the monitor off when not in use. Not convenient but better than nothing, or being 'on' all the time.

This does sound like a strange thing indeed.

Are you able to receive calls directly to the magicJack? (Like call your mJ from your cell...)

Have you added, and then removed the number in Google Voice settings?

I will however, also point out that the MagicTalk.com domain now does redirect to MagicJack.com. Earlier in the week, this was NOT true.
