The choppy connection is magicjack servers. I have had Majicjack for 8 months now and it comes and goes. I usually just tell the caller that I will return their call and then the line is crystal clear again. It sucks but it's a small price to pay for $20 service a year!

Answering incoming calls while talking to others

Anyone here get this to work properly. I am using the Walmart V-Tec 5.8ghz phone and while I am talking to someone I can hear the incoming "beep" for other calls but if I switch over to answer it, the last call is dropped completely. I want to switch back and forth between call...any suggestions?

Has anyone here tried to create their own voip server? I am really interested in what is needed for this to work. I would assume a very fast trunked t3 or higher connection. What would be required to get say a city of 100,000 with fast cable connections. Maybe I am just dreaming!
