What do you expect for $19 a year. Stop complaining and be thankful for the service or just get rid of it. I'm tired of you Magicjack complainers whom refuse to use your brain a little to solve simple problems. Don't ruin it for the rest of us who love the service. Try reinstalling it before calling ...

I wouldn't use a 2.4 GHZ phone considering all wireless networks use the same frequency(use 5.8 GHZ). Your bound to get interference, again it depends on your personal area(Wifi traffic). Magicjack is hit and miss with the choppy calls. For $20 bucks/year I don't complain. Personally I would not run ...

Same experience here too. Read my review in Rants and Raves for a full list of pros and cons. I would love to be able to tell exactly who is calling while on the phone...does this work for you guys or is it just me? I get a beeping of another caller but no info of that caller. If I switch over I ...

Here's my review of the MagicJack After One year!
If you are looking for a cheap landline and you already have a cable internet connection you might want to try the magic jack! The magicjack is cheap way to get free calling through out the us and internationally using your cable connection.

Choopy Connection
The choppy connection is magicjack servers. I have had Majicjack for 8 months now and it comes and goes. I usually just tell the caller that I will return their call and then the line is crystal clear again. It sucks but it's a small price to pay for $20 service a year!

Answering incoming calls while talking to others
Anyone here get this to work properly. I am using the Walmart V-Tec 5.8ghz phone and while I am talking to someone I can hear the incoming "beep" for other calls but if I switch over to answer it, the last call is dropped completely. I want to switch back and forth between call...any suggestions?

How to create your own voip server?
Has anyone here tried to create their own voip server? I am really interested in what is needed for this to work. I would assume a very fast trunked t3 or higher connection. What would be required to get say a city of 100,000 with fast cable connections. Maybe I am just dreaming!

Incoming calls hang up instead of going to voicemail
I found this interesting, today a friend of mine after I called her told me when she called it instantly hung up without going to voicemail. She said she tried 6 times and it hung up on her each time. I was able to call out with out any problems but incoming dropped the calls. This was a simple fix ...

Jax, when all else fails. Take a rj-45 cable straight from your pc to the modem. Hook up MJ and then test your problems. If it fixes the problem, start to add other components(e.g. router ect.). If one breaks your connection, that's your problem, fix it! If it still doesn't work check your firewall ...

This is why I always suggest bypassing the router and hooking up the rj-45 straight to the modem if your having problems. The problem is, most people fail to read the router, modem or even there computer manual. They can't be bothered to learn such things. The magicjack is really for the PC savvy ...

Try setting priority to high in the taskmgr.exe for magicjack. Try shutting down unneeded services in the os. Free up as much memory as possible. Do a defrag on your drive to improve lag. I would suggest considering the VTec from Walmart for $17. It has a large digital display on the phone and allows you to program numbers into it. When the phone rings it will display those numbers of the person calling. It also keeps track of any calls you missed and lets you sift through all calls ...

I tried that number on my phone and it dialed fine and went to a message who said:" I'm sorry we are experiencing difficulty with your call, please try your number later!". Yeah I think this is something else other wise more people would have this problem. What gets set: just the time or the date also? If the date and time change, good chance of a virus. Ever once in a while I get loud beeps on the line, not like incoming calls. They are in one minute intervals, and just make one beep. Sometimes I get choppy calls and have to call them back.
